As I spent more time indoors in compliance to my mother’s discouragement of outdoor activities, I engaged more frequently in my obsessive habit, excoriation. Banned from outdoor sightings, I began exploring my body for landscapes that resemble both pleasure and pain. While playing around with these images and finding new ways of seeing the human body, I discovered waterscapes of an alternate dimension where the cosmic lies in the miniscule, where grotesque and beauty go in tandem, and perhaps, where pain is no more.
